Milwaukee's Reconstructionist congregation
- now in our 19th year
Congregation Shir Hadash is a different kind of synagogue
This is where new ideas and ancient traditions live side by side,
where music and warmth are as much a part of our services as prayer and study,
where you’re more likely to participate in a discussion than listen to a sermon.
The Voice of Shir Hadash -- hear our music!
As Reconstructionists, we believe Judaism is not just a religion, but an
evolving civilization in which the past has "a vote, not a veto." Every time you
come to Shir Hadash, you’ll find something new, something familiar -- and a
friendly community to welcome you.
We are
an affiliate of the
Jewish Reconstructionist Federation.
