to produce The Voice of Shir Hadash, a unique CD that offers some of the
inspiring songs that characterize services at Shir Hadash. Here is a sampling of
our music.
"The disc reflects the same style I've experienced at the congregation's
services--a modern Jewish folk-song style music, with guitar, flute or Arabic
drum accompanying. Some of these selections do not sound as effective without a
congregation singing along . . .but others make for quite pleasant listening;
and one, the unaccompanied 'Sh'ma' by Shefa Gold for four women's voices, sounds
gorgeous and haunting."
